Currently IEC members include the majority of industrialized countries and some developing LED Bulb countries. These countries have 80% of the world's population, and its production and consumption of electricity accounted for 95% of the world, manufacture and use of electrical and electronic products accounted for 90% of world production.
The object of IEC is to promote international harmonization of standards electrician, electrical, electronic engineering and other interested parties in the standardization of international cooperation, promote international mutual understanding. To achieve this goal, including international standards,
including the publication of a variety of publications, and hoped that the National Committees in their national conditions permit, the use of these international standards. IEC areas of work including electrical, electronic, telecommunications and atomic energy electrical technologies.
IEC is the highest authority of the Council. There are currently 53 member states, known as IEC National Committees in each country can only have one body as its members. Each Member State are members of the Council, the Council meeting once a year,
called the IEC annual meeting, held alternately in the individual member states. Executive Committee on matters assigned by the Council. IEC technical work by the Executive Committee (CA) is responsible.
